Protection and Rational Management of Land Resources Print version

In the framework of the land protection activities the drilling rigs are equipped with capacitive modular skid mounted three-stage circulating systems providing for drilled rock cuttings removal from the drilling mud.

By introducing the method of cluster well construction the Company reduced the volume of agricultural land allotment for the construction of oil field facilities reclaiming the fertility of the disturbed lands.

Works on reclamation of the disturbed land areas are carried out by special teams and crews formed in the structural divisions of the Company. The crews are fit with specialized necessary machinery, equipment and sorbents.

The Company has spent over 130 million rubles in 2008 for protection and rational use of lands, including 91 million rubles for reclamation of soils disturbed by economic activity. This allowed continuing positive tendency towards steady reduction of disturbed agricultural lands as a result of emergency situations.

Currently in OAO TATNEFT the land allotment area for 1 well is 0.86 hectare. For comparison, it amounted to 3.53 hectares in the 70-ies of the last century.
