Efficient Technologies of Ground Corrosion Protection

TATNEFT Company successfully continues development of methods for protection of oil field equipment from corrosion. Specialists of TatNIPIneft have developed a technology of cathodic protection of underground and surface facilities from ground corrosion at industrial sites providing for joint cathodic protection of all the facilities within the industrial sites and all incoming and outgoing underground pipelines.
The technology provides for protection of oil treatment installations, tank farms, preliminary water removal units, booster pump stations; effluent treatment units of the oil complex treatment and refining workshops; preliminary and integrated gas treatment plants, as well as gas and oil refineries.
The technology provides for the most important condition of the cathodic protection efficiency: continuous maintenance of the protecting potentials across the whole surface of the protected facility during the whole lifetime.
The development of TatNIPIneft specialists has proven effective at the oil and gas production facilities of OAO TATNEFT.

Results of the Regional Corporate Children Drawing Contest
The awarding ceremony for the winners of the annual regional corporate children drawing contest "Nature Is Alive and I Am Alive!" on the subject "I am drawing Oil!" was held at the Large Hall of JSC TATNEFT on May 17. The 70th anniversary of starting the development of oil fields in the Republic will be celebrated in Tatarstan and at JSC TATNEFT this year. Members of the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agricultural Affairs of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the facilities of JSC TATNEFT. The delegation also included representatives of the supervisory and regulatory bodies: Rosprirodnadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
