Print version
28.07.2010
In the framework of the resource saving program OAO TATNEFT carries out activities directed at reducing energy recourses consumption, improving the efficiency of field development and production of crude oil in general. One example of integrated solutions for energy efficient crude oil production today is the work performed at Arkhangelskoye oil field located in Novosheshminskiy region (Tatarstan) by Yamashneft Oil and Gas Production Board.
In developing Arkhangelskoye oil field NGDU Yamashneft (one of the leading Oil and Gas Production Boards of OAO TATNEFT) implements such energy-efficient solutions in the area of crude oil and associated gas production, gathering and transportation as application of multiphase pumps, polymer injection of different modifications, utilization of associated petroleum gas for electricity generation and crude oil treatment, operation of wells with chain drive pumps and others.
Integrated introduction of such technology allows reaching decline of the energy consumption to 18%.
Wide application of innovative and non-routine solutions in the development and operation of oil fields with heavy geological conditions allowed NGDU Yamashneft to achieve significant reduction in energy consumption. The main part falls on activities in the area of oil field development accounting for 44 per cent of the total effect of energy resources saving, while improvement of the production power supply system accounts for 41 percent of the energy resources saving with the remaining 15 percent falling on introduction of highly efficient technologies in areas of crude oil production, transportation and treatment of crude oil.
NGDU Yamashneft provides 6.2% of the total oil production of OAO TATNEFT while consuming only 2.8% of the total electricity consumed by the Joint Stock Company, which has become possible due to the low specific rate of the power consumed for production of 1 ton of crude oil in the amount of 50.2 kWh, which is two times lower than the average value for the Company.
In general, savings of OAO TATNEFT by all kinds of energy exceeded 353 thousand tons of reference fuel in 2009.
