A regular meeting of the OAO TATNEFT's Board of Directors chaired by R.N. Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, was held on March 1.

The Board of Directors summed up the budget of OAO TATNEFT execution in January and approved the budget for March 2010.

The Board of Directors listened to the information about the progress in implementation of the industrial and environmental safety programs. Along with production efficiency, the priorities of Tatneft are as follows: providing for safe working conditions, health protection of the personnel and the population living in the areas of the Company's operation; reducing technological environmental impact and rational use of natural resources. The Integrated Management System (IMS) of industrial safety, occupational health and environment protection certified for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 has been developed and is effectively working in TATNEFT. The Company continually carries out the work on technical upgrading of production, acquires modern equipment, introduces more reliable methods of anticorrosion protection of the oilfield equipment, and improves the system of control over the occupational safety and the state of the environment.

The Board of Directors approved the progress of these programs implementation and assigned the Executive Directorate to continue the work on improving and supporting the existing Integrated Management System of industrial safety, occupational health and environment protection of OAO TATNEFT, to ensure implementation of the "Environmental Program of OAO TATNEFT for the period of 2000-2015 and the "Program of OAO TATNEFT in industrial and occupational safety to prevent injuries, reduce the risk of accidents and unplanned losses for 2010-2012".

The Board of Directors considered the results of implementing the investment program for 2009 to ensure fulfillment of the core activities, as well as development of the petrochemical branch and the network of filling stations. These investments accounted for additional production of 1.7 million tons of crude oil. OAO TATNEFT invested 7.2 billion rubles into the development of the petrochemical complex in 2009 exceeding the level of 2008 by 1.3 billion rubles. The Company has commissioned the factory manufacturing solid steal cord tires and continues modernization of the Nizhnekamskshina factory facilities, as well as the one of the carbon black production works. A number of filling stations run and controlled by OAO TATNEFT has increased to 620 units.

The Board of Directors meeting also reviewed a number of other issues of OAO TATNEFT activity.

Figures Demonstrating Results of Our Operations in January of 2012
OAO TATNEFT produced 2,201,630 tons of crude oil in January 2012 or 100% versus January 2011 with the above-the-plan production amounting to 52,162 tons (102.4%). The amount of 2,176,645 tons was delivered with the above-the-plan delivery amounting to 79,005 tons. Totally enterprises of TATNEFT Company produced 2,225,664 tons of crude oil with the above-the-plan production amounting to 52,233 tons (102.4%).

A Representative of TATNEFT Included in the Federal Project "Hall of National Labor Fame"
Five representatives of Tatarstan and among them Vladimir Pupyshev, a remedial well servicing operator of NGDU "Prikamneft" of OAO TATNEFT, were included in the federal project "Hall of National Labor Fame" at year-end 2011. The "Labor Fame of Russia" project is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation with funds allocated as a grant for civil society organizations.

Representatives of OAO TATNEFT participated in the meeting of the Republic of Tatarstan's Ministry of Ecology Collegium, which was held at the IT- Park of Kazan.

TATNEFT Got a New Canadian Patent
OAO TATNEFT continues working on legal protection of own developments overseas. The Company received patent No. 2675160 for the invention "Method of developing heavy oil deposits". The invention relates to the oil producing industry and is intended for development of extra-viscous oil deposits through horizontal wells with thermal bed stimulation

A New Filling Station of TATNEFT in Kemerovo Region
Another new station No. 445 joined OAO TATNEFT's filling station chain in the West Siberian miners' town of Kiselevsk, located at the following address: 4, Krasnokamenskaya Street, Kiselevsk, Kemerovo region.
