Improvement of the Process Equipment Reliability Print version

OAO TATNEFT is a company dedicated to continuous reliability improvement of its technology and equipment. First of all, it is due to the fact that the breakdown of the field equipment is the most significant factor of technological environmental impact of oil production. Results of monitoring of the oil-field equipment are the base for drawing up well-grounded programs of scheduled preventive maintenance, which allow preventing various failures.

In order to maintain steady and trouble-free work of inductrial facilities, improvement of their inductrial and ecological safety the Company has produced 515.6 km of corrosion resistant pipes, 5864 tons of corrosion inhibitors, casing strings of 1169 well holes have been equipped with cathodic protection, 549.5 km of oil pipelines and water lines have been provided with electrochemical corrosion protection. 2174 km of pipelines have been diagnostically inspected. 10 408 sq.meters of internal surface of steel vertical tanks and horizontal settlers have been protected with corrosion-proof coating.

For protection of gas lines against corrosion, works on introduction of active electrochemical protection and inhibitor injection have been performed, and corrosion-resistant pipes were used for replacement of gas lines and major repair of worn out sections.

In 2009, special attention was given to expenses reduction on carrying out major repairs of the well casing strings due to their corrosive destruction.

For the purpose of conservation of mineral resources, introduction of M1-X packers is being continued. M1-X packers have been installed in 374 injection wells and 2006 in total since the beginning of their introduction.

The program for introducing polymer coated well tubings were installed at 685 injection wells totaling 4917 injection wells since the onset of the program. Presently, the extent of protection of injection well stock operating with effluent water comprises 77%.

As a result of anticorrosive works there were no emergencies at the oil-field pipelines and in the reservoir pressure maintenance system.
