The main objective of the standard is ensuring a high level of organization of works for well construction at OAO TATNEFT. The standard defines and differentiates responsibility areas of the well construction process members, specifies obligations of the customer and responsibility of the general contractor, and regulates quality evaluation and procedure of the works cost correction with respect to separate stages of well construction.

General control over the standard fulfillment is ensured by the Supervising Support Department of OAO TATNEFT on the basis of the expert examination of reports, monthly submitted by drilling operations departments and divisions of well construction organization of the Field Office.

Time and quality, as well as the procedure for well construction investing are controlled by divisions of well construction organization of the NGDU (Oil and Gas Production Board)

Application of the standard allowed increasing penetration for one drilling crew by 4,1% per year and increasing the commercial drilling speed by 9,7% versus 2006.

Economic impact from the standard introduction amounted to RUR 515 million as for the end of 2007.

The main result of application of the standard together with the standard for drilling cost management on the basis of the design and estimate documentation was saving on investments in the amount of RUR 335.7 million, which allowed drilling 24 wells additionally.
