Aleksey Tikhonovich Shmaryov - Head of Tatneft Amalgamation - 1950-1955
He used to head the Glavgas of the USSR during 1956-57; chairman of Tatar Sovnarkhoz (Council of National Economy) during the period of 1957-60; the first deputy to the chairman of Sovnarkhoz (Council of National Economy) of the Russian Federation in the period of 1960-65. Head of Sredne-Volzhsky Sovnarkhoz (Council of National Economy).
Deputy Minister of Geology of the Russian Federation in 1965-77. After retirement he used to work in scientific research organizations. Shmaryov used to be perceptive of everything advanced and innovative. He used to be an ardent champion for introduction of downhole turbine motor drilling in all oil and gas producing areas of our country. By the end of 70-ties the turbine motor drilling accounted for about 90% of the total volume of drilling in Russia and played a critical part in accelerating development of the oil provinces. The merits of Shmaryov were marked by honoring him with Stalin's and Lenin's Prizes.
Valentin Dmitrievich Shashin – Head of Tatneft Amalgamation during the period of 1955- 1963.
He was appointed to the position of Minister of the Oil Producing Industry in 1965 by the Decree of the Supreme Council Presidium.
Shashin contributed a lot into studying technical experience of foreign oilmen. He was awarded the orders of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor. He was also awarded the Lenin's Prize for technical upgrading of the industry on the basis of new technical solutions and complex automation providing for rapid growth of crude oil production rates.
The name of Shashin has been assigned to Tatneft Amalgamation, to the streets in Leninogorsk and in Bugulma as well as to a sea-going drilling vessel.
Rafkat Shagimardanovich Mingareyev - Head of Tatneft Amalgamation during the period of 1963-1965.
Rafkat Mingareyev was one of the outstanding leaders of the oil industry in the Soviet Union and one of the originators of the crude oil production in Tatarstan. He was a public scale leader. He is an author of many scientific works and inventions. His merits were marked by numerous honorable distinctions: he was granted the Lenin's Prize, awarded the Orders of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor as well as Medals.
Agzam Valikhanovich Valikhanov - Head of Tatneft Amalgamation during the period of 1965-1977.
He is the author of more than 40 scientific works and 17 inventions. His major scientific works are dedicated to improvement of oil and gas production methods and management of the structural divisions operation. The bottom line of his efforts resulted in structural re-organization of Tatneft Amalgamation and transfer from oil production shops with their individual facilities to the specialized regional engineering-technological service basis of the production servicing.
Agzam Valikhanov is a Hero of the Socialist Labor and he was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution as well as the Order of the Great Patriotic War and many medals. He is a winner of the Gubkin Prize and was dignified as a Merited Oilman of Tatarstan and an Honored Oilman of the USSR.
Rishad Timergalievich Bulgakov - Head of Tatneft Amalgamation during the period of 1977-1980.
He was one of the major leaders of the oil industry in the country. His practical and creative work ensured resolution of challenges faced by the industry at the country-wide scale. Rishad Bulgakov is the initiator of the integrated process automation and establishment of the automated management system in Tatneft Amalgamation. He also initiated improvements in the management system and raising the efficiency of oil production, as well as integrated solutions of the environmental protection issues. Ha was a pioneer of introduction of social planning in the oil industry and started establishment of industrial sociology. He is the author of more than 100 published works and more than 50 inventions in many areas of the industry.
He is a hero of Socialist Labor and an Honorable Oilman of the USSR. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the Honor Badge and various medals.
Aklim Kasimovich Mukhametzyanov - General Director of PO TATNEFT during the period of 1980-1990.
Aklim Mukhametzyanov played a significant role in the development of the oil fields in the Western Siberia. He spared considerable attention to solving social problems. Mukhametzyanov pioneered establishment of the rural subsistence farming in the composition of the industrial enterprises as well as introduction of intensive technologies.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin as well as medals. He was also awarded the titles of Honorary Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry, Honored Oilman of the USSR. He is a laureate of the USSR State Prize.
Rinat Gimadelislamovich Galeyev - General Director of OAO TATNEFT during the period of 1990-1999.
The whole labor career of Rinat Galeyev connected with OAO TATNEFT. He used to work in the Company as a production supervisor, a senior oil field engineer, Deputy General Director of Tatneft, Head of NGDU Almetyevneft. He occupied the position of General Director of OAO TATNEFT until June 1999.
Shafagat Fakhrazovich Takhautdinov - General Director of OAO TATNEFT 1999.
1978 - 1985 – Head of the Oil and Gas Production Board Jalilneft and Head of the Oil and gas Production Board Almetyevneft.
1985 – 1990 - First Secretary of Leninogorsk City Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
Since 1990 - Chief Engineer-First Deputy General Director of OAO Tatneft.

Winner of the State prize of the Republic of Tatarstan. Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry of the Russian Federation. Honored Oilman of the Republic of Tatarstan. Honored Worker of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of the Russian Federation. Winner of the Republican Public Contest "Manager of Year-2004" in the nomination "The Best Manager of the Investment Organization".
Awards: Order of the Red Banner of Labor, Order of Friendship, Medal for Noble Labor. The Order of Honor "Al Fahr" in 2005.He was awarded an Order of Merits for the Country of Degree IV in 2006 for the huge contribution into development of the oil industry and many years of conscientious work.
