Structure of manpower is distributed between the main segments of Company’s business: oil and gas production, oil service, oil and gas refining, petroleum chemistry,sale of oil and oil products, and it also includes business management and support complexes, science, as well as science/research and social areas. The total number of employees of TATNEFT Group (of companies consolidated in reports according to US GAAP standards) amounted to over 71 thousand persons in 2009. Change of the total number of staff and their quantity by the main segments is connected with the Company’s development in general and with the restructuring program aimed at increasing the management efficiency in respect of industrial activity and manpower.
Taking into account the outside service complex, the Company provides for about100 thousand working places.
The average headcount of staff working in OAO TATNEFT amounted to 23,411 persons as of the end of 2009. 58% and 17% of the total number of workers are involved in the main activity: oil and gas production and oil servicing, respectively. 9% of the personnel are engaged in oil and gas processing and 4% of the personnel are engaged in the areas of management and business support and science/research. 1% of the total headcount is engaged in sales and the social sphere accounts for 7% of employees.
