NGDU Yamashneft Is 50 Years Old

NGDU Yamashneft of TATNEFT Company celebrated its 50th anniversary. Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT, attended the anniversary celebrations of the Yamashneft Oil and gas Production Division of PJSC TATNEFT.



Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, congratulated in his speech the staff of NGDU Yamashneft on the accomplishments achieved. The Head of the Republican Parliament emphasized: “The company has completed a very glorious, hard work path”. “Today we can daringly say that the tasks set have been successfully completed thanks to the dedicated work of the NGDU employees ensured by the full support of the TATNEFT Company’s management.”

During the celebration, a congratulation was also read out on behalf of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, and a video message was shown from Mintimer Shaimiev, State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Addressing the participants of the celebration festivities, Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT Company, emphasized the merits of several generations of the Yamashneft oil workers, thanked the veterans and the entire Yamashneft team, headed by Viktor Vasilyevich Smykov, and wished new accomplishments to the Company.

NGDU Yamashneft has been established as an experimental enterprise with the objective of developing the production of hard-to-recover reserves of high viscosity and sulfurous crude oil. Today, the territory of the NGDU activities covers the Almetyevsky, Zainsky, Novosheshminsky, Cheremshansky and Nizhnekamsky regions of Tatarstan. In 2018, NGDU Yamashneft produced over 2.6 million tonnes of crude oil, of which over 900 thousand tonnes account for high viscosity oil.
